Class of 2016 Emma Durham Foundation Scholarship Winners

The Emma Durham Foundation Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship that is  awarded to one graduating female athlete from Shelby County High School and one graduating female athlete from Martha Layne Collins High School.  The scholarship is awarded in memory of Emma Durham, who would have graduated with the class of 2014.

This week we had the privilege of presenting the third annual Emma Durham Foundation Scholarships to our two selected recipients.

On Monday, May 23, 2016, we presented the first scholarship to Ryan Goodlett of Martha Layne Collins High School.Ryan Goodlett

On Tuesday, May 24, 2016, we presented the second scholarship to Justus Martin of Shelby County High School.Justus Martin

Both of these young ladies have impressed us with their character, positive attitude and achievements in our community.  We are thrilled to welcome them to the Emma Durham Foundation family and look forward to watching them reach their goals.

We also want to thank our community for supporting our foundation, allowing us to put Emma’s wishes into action.  Whether we are presenting scholarship awards or delivering Christmas trees to children at Kosair Children’s Hospital, we appreciate our community and volunteers more than words can say.

Please join us in congratulating Ryan and Justus as they both graduate from their high schools today and begin the next chapter of their lives!  We can’t wait to see where life leads you!

Don’t Forget To Smile!! 🙂
